Business Days Calculator FAQ
Common questions about weekdays, holidays, included dates, and schedule rules.
What counts as a business day?
This calculator treats Monday through Friday as business days and excludes Saturday and Sunday. You can also enter custom holiday dates to exclude.
Are holidays included automatically?
No. Holidays vary by country, region, company, and exchange. Enter the specific holiday dates you want to exclude in YYYY-MM-DD format.
Should I include the start date?
Use include start date when the first date itself should count as a working day. Leave it off when you are counting business days after a date.
Can I add business days to a weekend?
Yes. Add/subtract mode moves one calendar day at a time and only counts weekdays that are not listed as holidays.
Does this support regional weekend rules?
The current version uses a Monday-Friday workweek. For regions or companies with different weekends, adjust the result manually.
